Industry background

The building materials industry, as a fundamental sector of the national economy, has an annual global trade volume of over one trillion US dollars. There is a strong demand for infrastructure in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. However, problems such as unreasonable transportation route planning, poor management of material stacking, and insufficient transportation tools still restrict efficiency improvement. As a result, professional logistics solutions are urgently needed.

Demand Overview

01

Type of Goods

Bulk building materials, such as steel (section steel, color-coated steel coil), ceramic tiles, glass, aluminum alloy doors and windows, and cement, as well as high value-added stainless steel precision tubes, waterproof sealing materials, etc.

02

Destinations

Southeast Asia (Philippines, Vietnam), Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia), Russia, etc.

03

Modes of Transportation

Dominated by sea transportation (LCL/FCL), with railway though transport (such as China-Europe Railway Express) and air transportation (high value-added small items) as supplementary.

04

Packaging Requirements

Moisture-proof, shock-proof and pressure-proof. Steel materials need to be wrapped with film for rust prevention, glass should be crated, and tiles be packed in corrugated boxes with inner linings to prevent leakage.

05

Customs Clearance & Compliance

It is necessary to provide the certificate of origin (Form E), SNI certification (Indonesia), and CE certification (EU), and comply with the tariff policies and environmental protection standards of the importing country.

Diligent Plan

We specialize in international logistics for the import and export of building materials. Leveraging its comprehensive resource system accumulated over many years, it provides end-to-end, all-in-one customized services for clients. With extensive practical experience in niche markets such as prefabricated buildings, interior decoration materials, and basic building materials, we can accurately matches client needs, ensuring efficient and smooth logistics throughout the entire process.

Operation process
01
Delivery arrangements

Factories will or we are commissioned to deliver cement, glass and other building materials to the container yard at the agreed time.

02
Container arrangements

We will dispatch dedicated containers to the container yard 10 to 15 days in advance based on building materials (for example, ultra-wide glass requires flat containers, and cement requires tank containers).

03
Container loading at depots

A professional team formulates a container loading plan based on the size and weight of building materials. For instance, glass is placed vertically with shock-absorbing brackets, while steel is stacked to optimize the container capacity utilization.

04
Supervision & reinforcement

A third-party supervisor will oversee the entire operation. Fragile building materials are packaged with double-layer foam and fixed with wooden frame, and heavy building materials are with hydraulic support frames.

05
Photography & box sealing

After vanning, 360-degree photography of the building materials is made for records. Use electronic seals to lock the box door and upload the goods number and batch information to the logistics traceability system.

06
Transportation insurance

It is recommended to purchase full-chain insurance for building materials, covering the entire process from transportation to storage. For high-value building materials (such as photovoltaic glass), additional breakage insurance can be added.
